In this session, we chat to bridalwear expert Susan Lightbody from Opus Coutire about what you need to know before you start looking for your dress. Where you should look for inspiration, how many boutiques you should visit, how many people to bring with you, what to wear to an appointment, how to figure out when you’ve found The One, what size you should order (many wedding dresses run small). Also talking through some lesser-known things, like did you know some designers will let you make tweaks to your dress so it’s unique to you?

One in eight UK adults have no cash savings, and a further 32% have less than £2,000 in the bank. So how do you go about saving for a wedding, which pre-COVID had an average cost of around £30k, if you aren’t money-minded? In this session we strip it back to basics, helping you figure out how to settle on a budget that’s right for you, how to go about saving that money (lifestyle changes, general saving tips) and talking you through what wedding suppliers will expect you to pay, and when.
