Planning your wedding day takes a lot of effort. There are countless things to consider, endless options for cakes, décor, entertainment and flowers, and a lot of decisions that will shape your big day. Plus, external influences such as trends, tradition and social media are often factored in when planning nuptials. Luckily, social media is a fantastic source of inspiration when it comes to all things weddings, and we’ve sought out some of the best tips from wedding TikTok star, Morgan Casper (@morgangcasper). From cakes to shoes to photography, Morgan has it covered and has a wealth of knowledge to share based on her own wedding. Here are some of her tips on key things to consider when planning how you’ll say ‘I do’.

Money Savers
Wedding budgets are often tricky to navigate, and it can be difficult to know where to spend and save money. Morgan shares some handy tips to help save on certain elements of the day, freeing up spend for the things that matter. Morgan's first piece of advice is to have one menu per table, and frame it to sit beside the centrepiece. Guests will have already chosen their meal, so individual menus aren't really necessary, making this a top way to save money without it affecting your day. Another of Morgan's money saving tips is to send out virtual save the dates and save the paper for the formal invitations. Not only is this thrifty but it's super easy too. Simply download a virtual save the date template and email to your guest list - talk about convenient!

Designer shoes
For brides, treating themselves to a gorgeous pair of designer heels for their wedding day can be a way to make the day extra special. In Morgan’s ‘Trendy things I did for my wedding and if I regret them’ TikTok, she states that treating herself to a pair of designer heels is something she’s glad she did. Doing this is a great way to spoil yourself with shoes you would never usually buy, and Morgan advises to choose a pair in a neutral colour that you can wear time and time again. If you’re investing in a pair of designer heels like Louboutins or Jimmy Choos, make sure you break them in before the big day to ensure they’re comfortable!

Photography
Photography is something that is super important on your wedding day, as it will serve as a reminder for years to come. Morgan was pleased with the photos from her big day, but she also says there are some shots she wishes she’d gotten. Morgan recommends researching specific shots you would like your photographer to capture that are outside the box and fit your personal style. This will give you a variety of cool pictures that match your aesthetic and capture the moments you want to remember most from the day. Pinterest is great for getting photo inspiration and you can pin the images you love to send to your photographer ahead of the wedding.

Cocktail Hour
The period just after the ‘I dos’ and before the reception is when guests get to mingle and catch up with the bridal party. Morgan says that one of the regrets she has about her wedding day is not spending enough time chatting to friends and family after the ceremony and before the reception. Morgan says that this was one of our favourite times of the wedding day, but she wishes she’d factored in more time for mingling before being whisked away to get photos taken. Given yourself an extra half hour to breathe and chat to your guests before getting photos taken and it could end up being the most memorable part of your day.
